Kansas City Dog Training

Free Consultation

I offer a free consultation for dog owners living within the I-435 loop of the Kansas City, Missouri metro area. Call, text or email me and we’ll schedule the consultation in which I come to your house, meet you and talk in-depth about your training goals while also observing your dog(s), then I’ll give you my recommendations for going forward with training.

Before you commit to training with me, search other trainers and their philosophies. Then check out my Google reviews. Read what past clients have said. Check out my Facebook and Instagram posts.

After meeting with me and vetting my background, you’ll discover that earning your dog’s trust is my first step toward achieving successful training. Ensuring your satisfaction with my training is of utmost importance.
*Outside the I-435 loop, the consult fee is $50 to cover gas and drive time.

Utilizing Patience & Positive Reinforcement

I can also consult with you about any behavior issues. If necessary, I can refer you to an Applied Animal Behavior Consultant, who will help determine why your dog is behaving in a particular way and can design a custom intervention program.

  • Sit
  • Stay
  • Lay Down
  • Come
  • Keep all four on the floor
  • Walk with a loose leash (no pulling)
  • Decrease Excessive Barking

Depending on what your training goals are for your dog, I’ll recommend the number of sessions at the consultation that I think will accomplish what you want.

Puppy Training

Puppies are inherently more time-intensive because they’re easily distractible and need constant and consistent redirection. I’ll train your puppy in all the behaviors listed above and, again, use the utmost in patience and positive reinforcement.

There is a limited window of time to properly introduce your puppy to other dogs; the ideal age is before the 5-month mark. Should your primary goal be socialization, one or more sessions can be devoted to taking your puppy to a dog park where I’ll show you the best way to allow other dogs to meet your puppy and vice versa.

When I meet with you during the consultation, I’ll recommend the number of sessions I think will accomplish the training you want.
