Hi, I’m Debbie Tangen, a certified dog trainer. I train dogs to display polite behavior.
As a private, in-home trainer, I come to you because I believe dogs learn new skills better in their own familiar surroundings.
Does your dog need to learn some manners? Well, you’re in the right place.
Now, I won’t teach Fido to skillfully navigate an agility course, teach him to roll over, walk backwards on 2 legs or leap into the air performing a 360-degree turn…
…however, I will train him to display polite behavior such as sit, stay, down and come on cue, as well as keep “all four on the floor” (no jumping), maintain a loose leash while walking (no pulling), and decrease excessive barking.

I offer a free consultation to dog guardians living within the I-435 loop of the Kansas City, Missouri metropolitan area. Call, text or email me and we’ll schedule a consultation at a mutually agreeable day and time.
For the consultation: I come to your house or apartment, meet you and your dog, get detailed information about your training goals and observe your dog’s behavior. Once I’ve gained all the information I need, I’ll give you my recommendations for moving forward with training.
